Dr Jayne Griffiths

20+ years of experience

Dr Jayne Griffiths is a Principal Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked extensively across both NHS and private practice. Within the NHS, Jayne held Highly Specialist and Principal level posts, where she supervised, trained, and managed other psychologists. This combination of senior leadership and hands-on clinical expertise strongly informs the thoughtful, professional care she brings to her private practice.

Jayne works with adults and older teenagers, supporting a wide range of mental health difficulties. Her specialist interests include anxiety disorders, trauma, sleep problems, and neuropsychological rehabilitation. She has significant experience working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events, as well as those living with the cognitive, emotional, and psychological impact of neurological conditions. Her work often focuses on helping clients rebuild resilience, confidence, and a sense of stability following adversity.

Her therapeutic practice draws on advanced training in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema-Focused Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi). This breadth allows Jayne to tailor therapy carefully, whether the focus is on addressing specific symptoms or working more deeply with complex and longstanding difficulties.

Clients often describe Jayne as compassionate, pragmatic, and clear in her approach. She offers therapy that is both supportive and structured, combining warmth with well-formulated, evidence-based strategies. Her aim is to help clients feel more in control, develop practical tools for change, and move forward with greater confidence and wellbeing.
