Dr Jayne Griffiths

20+ years of experience

Dr Jayne Griffiths is a Principle Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked extensively in both NHS and private practice. Within the NHS, she held Highly Specialist and Principal level posts, where she supervised, trained, and managed other psychologists. This blend of clinical expertise and senior leadership informs the thoughtful, professional care she brings to her private practice.

Jayne works with adults and older teenagers, providing therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns. Her specialist interests include anxiety disorders, trauma, sleep problems, and neuropsychological rehabilitation. She has significant experience supporting people who have experienced trauma or who are living with the cognitive and emotional challenges of neurological conditions, and she is particularly skilled in helping clients rebuild resilience and wellbeing after adversity.

She has undertaken advanced training in a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema-Focused Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi). This broad expertise enables her to provide highly tailored interventions that meet each client’s needs, whether the focus is on resolving specific symptoms or working through more complex difficulties.

Clients describe Jayne as compassionate, pragmatic, and clear in her approach. She provides therapy that is both supportive and structured, offering clients practical tools and well-formulated strategies that create lasting change. By combining warmth with evidence-based methods, she helps clients move forward with confidence and a stronger sense of control.
