Dr Daria Bonanno is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of clinical practice. Alongside her extensive therapeutic work, she regularly provides psychological training and clinical supervision to psychologists and professionals from other disciplines, reflecting her senior leadership within the field and her commitment to maintaining high standards of care.

Daria works with teenagers, adults, and couples, supporting a wide range of mental and physical health concerns. She has particular expertise in working with people affected by cancer, HIV, bariatric needs, long-term health conditions, and palliative care. Alongside this specialist health psychology work, she has extensive experience supporting individuals with anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, trauma, health anxiety, and eating-related difficulties.

Her therapeutic practice draws on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Behavioural Activation, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Couples Counselling. This integrative approach allows Daria to tailor therapy carefully to the specific needs, values, and circumstances of each client or couple.

Daria’s therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and pragmatic. She aims to create a safe and containing space in which clients can explore difficult experiences, develop new perspectives, and build practical strategies for meaningful change. Whether working face-to-face or online, she brings clarity, warmth, and depth to her work, helping clients reduce distress, strengthen resilience, and move forward with greater confidence.
