Assessments at Hampstead Psychology

We offer a range of specialist assessments for adults, teenagers and children. Each assessment is carried out by an experienced clinician and tailored to your individual needs.

 

Psychiatric Assessments

Our consultant psychiatrists provide comprehensive evaluations to understand your mental health, clarify diagnoses, and guide treatment.
These assessments may include:

  • A detailed review of your history and current symptoms

  • Screening for mood, anxiety, and other conditions

  • Recommendations for therapy, medication, or further support

 

Psychological Assessments

Our clinical psychologists offer in-depth assessments to understand emotional, behavioural and cognitive patterns.
These may be used to:

  • Clarify complex presentations

  • Support treatment planning

  • Provide reports for schools, workplaces, or medical professionals

 

ADHD Assessments

We provide a Gold Standard ADHD assessments for children, teenagers and adults. .

Our assessments follow NICE guidelines so you can be sure that you will be provided with the

  • A detailed clinical interview by a consultant psychiatrist. This involved a general assessment to make sure that the symptoms of concern can not be explained by other psychological/neurological or health related issues.

  • Standardised questionnaires (completed by you and, where relevant, parents or teachers)

  • Review of developmental history and current functioning

  • A written report with recommendations for support or treatment

 

Autism (ASD) Assessments

Our multidisciplinary team offers Gold Standard autism assessments for all ages. We are lucky to have a world expert on our team of psychologists who guide the assessments carried out for Autism at Hampstead Psychology.
These involve:

  • A structured diagnostic interview (such as the ADOS-2 or ADI-R)

  • Developmental and social history review

  • Input from both psychological and psychiatric professionals

  • A clear report with tailored recommendations for ongoing care or support

What to Expect

Most assessments take place over two or more sessions, either online or in-person at our Hampstead clinic.


After your assessment, you’ll receive:

  • A full written report

  • A feedback session to discuss the findings

  • Guidance on next steps for treatment, support or referral

Fees

  • A full psychiatric assessment costs from £550 per hour.

  • A full psychological assessment costs from £220 per hour.

  • An ADHD assessment for an adult costs £1550.00

  • An AS assessment for an adult costs £2250.00
