Dr Shabnam Hariri

20+ years of experience

Dr Shabnam Hariri is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. She provides high-quality psychological therapy to individuals and couples, drawing on her extensive training and experience to support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Shabnam works effectively with conditions such as ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, depression, chronic pain, women’s health issues, and diabetes, as well as concerns including stress management, sleep problems, public speaking anxiety, and self-confidence.

Her clinical approach is integrative, bringing together the latest evidence-based treatments with an understanding of each client’s unique needs. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Couples Counselling, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. By combining these approaches, she is able to create a flexible and tailored therapeutic process that meets each individual where they are and helps them move toward meaningful change.

Shabnam describes therapy as “a non-judgemental and safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings. Through empathetic listening, you have the opportunity not only to understand yourself better but also to develop new ways to view and approach your problems.” Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centred, creating an environment where people feel understood, supported, and empowered.

She works with both individuals and couples, helping clients to improve their emotional wellbeing, strengthen their relationships, and develop practical strategies for living more confidently and authentically. Clients value her ability to balance empathy and compassion with evidence-based tools that support lasting change.
