Dr Jo Stuart

Dr Jo Stuart is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She has worked extensively with people across the lifespan, from older teenagers through to adults of all ages, and brings a wealth of clinical, supervisory, and training expertise to her private practice. Alongside her client work, Jo regularly trains and supervises other psychologists, ensuring her practice remains closely aligned with the latest evidence-based psychological approaches.
Jo works with a wide range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, health anxiety, chronic pain, stress, and relationship challenges. She has particular experience supporting C-level executives, consultants, professionals, and individuals in the public eye, and is committed to providing a highly confidential and discreet therapeutic service. She also has specialist expertise in working with people from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Her therapeutic work is informed by extensive training across a broad range of evidence-based models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Behavioural Activation, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Systemic Therapy, Couples Counselling, Solution-Focused Therapy, Life-Story Work, and Reminiscence Therapy. This integrative approach allows Jo to tailor therapy carefully to each client’s needs, values, and circumstances.
