Dr Sarah Jane Khalid

20+ years of experience

Dr Sarah-Jane Khalid works with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, workplace challenges, dermatological conditions, and women’s health concerns. She has particular expertise in supporting women through fertility challenges, post-natal depression and anxiety, peri-menopause, and menopause, helping clients understand the emotional, physical, identity, and life-stage pressures that may be affecting their wellbeing.

Sarah-Jane is a highly qualified Counselling Psychologist, Coach, and Meditation Teacher with extensive experience across NHS services, charitable organisations, and private practice. Her background allows her to bring together clinical psychology, coaching, and meditation in a way that is structured, evidence-based, and responsive to each client’s goals and circumstances.

She also enjoys working with clients from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities, bringing cultural sensitivity and an understanding of how identity, belonging, family expectations, work, health, and wider social context can shape emotional wellbeing. This breadth allows her to support clients whose difficulties may feel layered, private, or connected to several areas of life at once.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and flexible, drawing on evidence-based models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Behavioural Activation, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Alongside her psychological training, Sarah-Jane has completed meditation teacher training with the British School of Meditation and the Chopra Center in the United States. Where appropriate, she integrates meditation practices and elements of positive psychology to support emotional regulation, clarity, and balance.

Sarah-Jane’s style is warm, empowering, insightful, and practically focused. She offers a discreet and carefully tailored approach for clients who want therapy to be reflective, structured, and useful beyond sessions. She helps clients clarify what they want to change, understand the patterns affecting their confidence or wellbeing, and develop psychological strategies they can apply in daily life, supporting greater resilience, self-worth, emotional balance, and a clearer way forward.
