Dr Jessica Gash

Dr Jessica Gash works primarily with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation, disordered eating, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, attachment-related patterns, and difficulties connected to identity or sense of self. She has particular expertise in supporting people affected by both recent and historic trauma, including post-traumatic stress and complex PTSD, and also has specialist experience working with neurodivergent clients.

Jessica is an experienced HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience providing psychological therapy across NHS, charity, and private settings. This breadth of experience has given her a strong understanding of how emotional difficulties can develop in response to trauma, relationships, neurodivergence, eating-related patterns, and earlier life experiences. She works with clients whose difficulties may feel layered, private, or hard to untangle, helping them understand what is driving their distress and what needs to change.

Jessica’s therapeutic approach is integrative and individualised, drawing on a range of evidence-based psychological models to meet each client’s needs. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. This allows her to adapt therapy thoughtfully as the work develops, while keeping the focus on each client’s goals, strengths, and wider life context.

Jessica’s style is thoughtful, collaborative, and clinically grounded. She offers a discreet and carefully tailored approach for clients who want therapy to be clear, focused, and practically useful. She helps clients clarify what they want to change, understand the patterns keeping difficulties in place, and develop more effective ways of coping, regulating emotion, relating to others, and making decisions in daily life.
