Dr Jamie Chan

15+ years of experience

Dr Jamie Chan works with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, workplace pressures, relationship difficulties, and longer-term questions around identity, confidence, performance, and personal growth. She is particularly well placed to support professionals, executives, and people in high-profile or demanding roles, as well as clients who want therapy to feel psychologically thoughtful, discreet, practical, and relevant to the realities of their personal and working lives.

Jamie is an experienced Counselling Psychologist and corporate coach with a broad background across clinical and organisational settings in the UK, Australia, and the USA. Her work combines psychological depth with a clear understanding of performance, leadership, workplace stress, and the pressures that can come with responsibility, visibility, and high expectations. She supports clients to understand the patterns that may be contributing to distress or burnout, while also helping them develop more effective ways of coping, relating, leading, and making decisions.

Jamie has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including people managing complex mental health difficulties. She has a particular interest in working with clients from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, and places strong emphasis on cultural understanding, identity, and context within therapy. Alongside her individual clinical work, she has delivered workshops, facilitated support groups, and contributed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and thoughtful psychological support.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and flexible, drawing on a range of evidence-based models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Behavioural Activation, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Couples Counselling, and Coaching. This breadth allows her to tailor therapy carefully to each client’s goals, whether the focus is emotional wellbeing, resilience, relationships, identity, work stress, leadership, or meaningful personal change.

Jamie’s style is direct, supportive, collaborative, and practical. She offers a carefully tailored approach for clients who want therapy to be focused, sophisticated, and useful in everyday life. She helps clients clarify what they want to change, understand the patterns affecting their wellbeing or performance, and develop practical psychological strategies they can apply in their relationships, work, leadership, and decision-making. Her approach is especially suited to clients who want to strengthen resilience, improve emotional wellbeing, and create sustainable change in both their personal and professional lives.
